Faster!

Decent effort. I think his singing was GREAT, but the music itself was kind of too slow and sleepy for me. He want somebody like Dub FX or Sickick to build a riddim for him! 🙂 Not saying they are the only ones who can do it, mind you…
I know some people love his music and I am sure that one day Mortimer going connect fully with a big hit!
For me, the answer is the music itself. Give us some faster, more complex, better sounding riddims. Look at what Sevana did with with ‘Nobodys Man’… A great singer as well, but the slow, deady-deady music was not working for her either, in my opinion…
Not that I totally fight slower reggae enuh, Some people do it great. Damian Marley for instance… and anything that manages to sound spiritual has a chance…

Maybe it’ll grab me after a few listens… if so, I guess I’ll have to apologise…
